Nanohybrid composite restorative material for universal application
NT Premium is a universal nanohybrid restorative material (average particle size 14 – 40 nm), light-cured, radiopaque, for use in anterior and posterior teeth restoration, both permanent and deciduous. NT Premium sets directly in the cavity or in working models, under the effect of halogen or LED curing lights. Its concept prioritizes the aesthetic restoration using full chroma body shades that can be combined with a universal opaque and incisal shades (translucent) for higher aesthetic results. The selection and balance of filler sizes combined in the product substantially favors the structural and mechanical properties of the material, allowing ease of handling and polishing, high initial gloss and superior restorations, from aesthetic, mechanical and biological standpoints. The nanofillers are responsible for the handling, sculptability and opalescence of the material. Special pigments confer its fluorescence, one of the few existing composites to mimic the natural fluorescence of real teeth.

Using the Coltene NT Premium Composite Kit for anterior and posterior restorations requires precise steps for optimal results. Here are the directions for using this universal nanohybrid restorative material:
Materials Needed:
Coltene NT Premium Composite Kit
Appropriate dental instruments (e.g., composite placement instruments, wedges, matrix bands)
Applicator tips
Dental curing light (halogen or LED)
Dental adhesive system (if necessary)
Dental etchant (if necessary)
Bonding agent (if necessary)
Isolation materials (e.g., rubber dam or cotton rolls)
Shade guide
High-speed handpiece and finishing burs (for contouring and polishing)
Procedure:
Preparation and Isolation: a. Ensure proper isolation of the treatment area using rubber dam or cotton rolls. b. Prepare the tooth as needed for restoration, which may include etching and bonding according to the manufacturer’s instructions if using an adhesive system.
Shade Selection: a. Select the appropriate shade of Coltene NT Premium Composite based on the patient’s tooth color and the desired restoration outcome.
Mixing and Handling: a. Dispense the required amount of NT Premium Composite using the kit’s applicator tips. b. Mix the composite as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. c. Ensure proper handling and sculptability of the composite material.
Placement and Layering: a. Place the composite incrementally into the prepared cavity, using suitable instruments to shape and sculpt the restoration. b. Utilize a layering technique for optimal aesthetics and mechanical properties, especially for anterior restorations. c. Adjust the composite as necessary to achieve the desired anatomy and occlusion.
Curing: a. Light-cure the NT Premium Composite using a dental curing light according to the manufacturer’s instructions. b. Ensure adequate curing time for each layer to achieve proper polymerization.
Finishing and Polishing: a. After curing, contour and shape the restoration using high-speed handpieces and finishing burs. b. Polish the restoration to achieve a smooth and glossy surface. c. Check occlusion and make necessary adjustments.
Final Inspection: a. Evaluate the restoration for aesthetics, mechanical integrity, and proper bonding. b. Ensure the restoration blends seamlessly with the natural dentition, thanks to the nanohybrid technology.
Post-Operative Instructions: a. Provide the patient with appropriate post-operative care instructions, including oral hygiene recommendations and any necessary follow-up appointments.
