Single-component dental adhesive for effective tooth restorations
| Te-Econom Bond is a one-bottle dental adhesive designed for use in direct light-curing restorations, commonly performed in dentistry. This adhesive simplifies the bonding process by offering a one-layer, single-component solution. It boasts high bond strengths, a critical factor in ensuring the long-term success of dental restorations. What sets Te-Econom Bond apart is its ability to minimize solvent evaporation, particularly alcohol, during application. This characteristic helps maintain the adhesive’s integrity, ensuring a robust and reliable bond between the tooth structure and the restorative material. The one-bottle, one-layer design streamlines the application process, making it more straightforward for dental professionals to use, ultimately benefiting both patient care and treatment outcomes. Te-Econom Bond plays a pivotal role in enhancing the adhesion of dental restorations to teeth, promoting durability and long-lasting oral health.
Indications: Direct light-curing restorations One-bottle, one-layer adhesive |
| One-bottle, one-layer adhesive. High bond strengths. Minimal evaporation of the solvent (alcohol). For direct light-curing restorations. High radiopacity. |
| Composition
Consists of HEMA, di- and mono methacrylates, inorganic fillers, initiators, and stabilizers in an alcohol solution. |
| Isolate and Prepare the Tooth:
Ensure the tooth to be restored is isolated from saliva and moisture. Apply an etchant (acid) to the tooth’s enamel and dentin surfaces following the total-etch technique guidelines. Typically, you’ll etch for a specific time, then rinse and dry the tooth. Apply Te-Econom Bond to the etched tooth surfaces. This can usually be done using an applicator brush or micro brush. Use a high-speed dental curing light to cure the Te-Econom Bond according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Typically, you’ll need to expose the adhesive to the curing light for a specific duration to ensure proper polymerization. Proceed with the restorative procedure (e.g., placement of composite filling) while ensuring that the Te-Econom Bond remains adequately bonded to the tooth surface. Complete the restorative process, polish the restoration as needed, and check for occlusion and bite alignment. |
