Calibra Universal boasts a comprehensive range of applications, suitable for cementing a wide variety of dental restorations, including metal, porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM), resin/composite, ceramic, and porcelain inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, and endodontic posts. What sets it apart is its self-adhesive nature, eliminating the need for a separate dentin/enamel adhesive bonding agent or system, streamlining the dental procedure.
One of its key features is the extended working time it offers, with a tack-cure window of up to 10 seconds and a generous 45-second gel-phase, simplifying cleanup and reducing the stress associated with the procedure. Furthermore, the high radiopacity of Calibra Universal aids in providing a clear view of the restoration material within the crown, reducing the chances of misdiagnosis and costly remakes.
With five esthetic shade options and the inclusion of Shade Stable Technology to prevent color shifts over time, Calibra Universal caters to various aesthetic requirements. Additionally, its high immediate bond strength ensures a strong initial bond for reliable and durable restorations.
In summary, Calibra Universal Self-Adhesive Resin Cement is a versatile, efficient, and user-friendly product that simplifies the dental restoration process while ensuring esthetic and functional excellence. CLEAN UP EXCESS: SELF CURE The excess cement will reach the “gelled” state after approximately 1-2 minutes in the mouth. Excess cement will remain in the gelled state for approximately 1 minute.
Preparation: Prepare the tooth structure and the restoration according to standard dental procedures. Ensure that both are clean and free of contaminants.
Mixing: Dispense the required amount of Calibra Universal Cement from the dual-barreled syringe. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for the appropriate ratio of base and catalyst. Mix thoroughly for the recommended time to ensure proper activation.
Application: Apply a thin layer of the mixed cement onto the internal surface of the restoration. Ensure even coverage.
Seating the Restoration: Carefully place the restoration onto the prepared tooth structure, ensuring proper alignment and fit. Apply gentle pressure to seat it firmly.
Excess Removal: Any excess cement that squeezes out should be removed promptly using dental instruments. Pay special attention to interproximal areas and margins.
Light-Curing: Calibra Universal Cement may require light curing, depending on the clinical situation. If needed, use a curing light to polymerize the cement according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Cleanup: During the gel phase, which lasts for approximately 45 seconds, you can perform any additional cleanup or adjustments as necessary.
Final Check: Verify the restoration’s occlusion, fit, and esthetics. Make any final adjustments if required.
