Over a period of approximately 30 minutes, the hydraulic temporary restorative material hardens by absorbing moisture, resulting in a stable and durable temporary filling. When removing the filling, the dental professional should clean the cavity using an alcohol-soaked cotton pellet, thoroughly eliminating any residue or remnants of the temporary material.
