  • Preparation: Ensure that the irrigation needle is in its sterile packaging and has not been compromised. Discard if the packaging is damaged or the needle appears unsterile.
  • Setup: Attach the irrigation needle securely to the irrigation syringe ensuring a tight seal to prevent leakage.
  • Preparation of Irrigant: Prepare the irrigation solution as per the recommended protocol or prescription by the dental practitioner. Use an appropriate irrigant solution for root canal irrigation.
  • Insertion: Gently insert the needle into the root canal, taking care to avoid penetration of the apex. The rounded tip and closed front-end design help prevent tissue damage.
  • Irrigation: Administer the irrigant solution slowly and steadily, using gentle pressure on the syringe plunger. Ensure thorough irrigation of the entire length of the root canal.
  • Activation: Activate the irrigation needle by depressing the syringe plunger intermittently, allowing the irrigant solution to flow effectively through the vent into the root canal.
  • Flush and Repeat: Flush the root canal with the irrigant solution multiple times to remove debris and blood effectively. Repeat the irrigation process as necessary until the canal is thoroughly cleaned.
  • Completion: Once irrigation is complete, carefully remove the needle from the root canal. Dispose of the used needle properly according to medical waste disposal guidelines.
  • Post-Irrigation: Follow up with any additional steps or treatments as prescribed by the dental practitioner to complete the root canal procedure.
  • Record Keeping: Document the irrigation procedure, including the type and volume of irrigant used, in the patient’s dental records for future reference.

Answer: The SuperEndo Disposable Irrigation Needles have a length of 25mm, providing precise and efficient irrigation for endodontic procedures.

Answer: Yes, the SuperEndo Disposable Irrigation Needles are side-vented, ensuring controlled and efficient irrigation while minimizing the risk of extrusion beyond the apex. They are designed for safe and effective irrigation during endodontic procedures.

Answer: We recommend using Luer lock syringes with the SuperEndo Disposable Irrigation Needles. Luer lock syringes ensure a secure connection between the syringe and the irrigation needle, minimizing the risk of leakage and providing reliable delivery of irrigants during endodontic procedures. This compatibility ensures efficient and precise irrigation, essential for successful root canal treatments.

Answer: The length of the SuperEndo Disposable Irrigation Needle with a 30-gauge needle is 25mm.

Answer: Various needle sizes are available, but most commonly used are the 27 and 30 gauge needles (respectively 0.4 and 0.3 mm outer diameter).

Answer: Narrower gauge needles (30 gauge) are more effective than larger gauge needles in removing debris from curved canals. The use of a close-ended single side vented needle is considered to be the safest needle design for irrigation.
